The Phantom Tollbooth

The Phantom Tollbooth is about a boy named Milo who doesn’t know what to do with himself. Milo one day finds  a tollbooth and  goes and lots of adventures. He  meets The Humbug and Tock the watchdog and the Spelling bee.Milo also meets lots of other characters.And Milo realizes that nothing made sense when he was on his adventures. Later  Milo and tock get arrested by  Officer Shrift when they were on an adventure  and they meet faintly Macabre in the dungeon. Faintly Macabre tells them the story why nothing made sense . Now Milo, Tock and the Humbug go on more adventures to fix the problem but  they have to get the king Azazs and the Math magicians permission. Can they get the king’s permission?Can they get the mathmagician permission? Will they solve the problem?

I think the Phantom Tollbooth is a  really awesome book .I would recommend it because there’s lots of figurative language  that makes the book funny . There’s also lots of idioms that also make the book funny .So if you like funny books this book is definitely right for you.
