The Immortals

(Edge Chronicles book 10)

By Paul Stewart and Chris Riddle

Genre: fantasy

When pharxminer Nate Quarter gets in a fight with some feisty hammerhead goblins, he’s in for trouble. Luckily, Nate’s friend, a burly cloddertrogg named Rudd, happened to hold them off, for the moment. Later, after a hard day of mining, Nate and Rudd head over to the local pub where the goblins are waiting for them. The goblins shoot at Nate, but Rudd gets in the way, sacrificing himself. With a grey goblin named Slip, Nate escapes onto a flying ship headed to Great Glade: an amazing city. When he boards the ship he is pick-pocketed. Can he survive when he gets to Great Glade?

I loved the book and want to read it again. I like how the characters are very adventurous, smart, and brave. They are ready to face every problem as it comes up. The story flowed and kept the action going by doing the unexpected. Overall, The Immortals will keep you hanging on the edge of your seat.
