Eragon

By Christopher Paolini

Eragon is the story of a boy, Eragon, who finds a strange rock in the Spine, a deadly string of mountains. Eragon finds out the rock is actually a dragon egg. Shortly after the egg’s hatching, Eragon is whisked off by a mysterious storyteller. Eragon has to travel across the land of Alagaesia so that he can over throw the evil king. This book is only the first in the Inheritance series and leaves you wanting to read the next one. Will Eragon over throw the king or die trying? Read the book and find out!

The writing is very intriguing. The chapters change between Eragon and his cousin. I like how     Christopher Paolini shows both Eragon and his family struggling. Paolini describes the characters perfectly. This action-packed book is well worth the $10.00 it costs. Once you pick up this book you can only put it down when you’re finished!
